The advisory service is aimed at students at the University of Bremen, Bremen University of Applied Sciences, HfK Bremen and Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences. This also includes enrolled doctoral students and international students in preparatory studies. For counselling at university locations outside the state of Bremen, responsibility lies with the respective Studierendenwerk.
The counselling services are free of charge. This is a service offered by the Studierendenwerk Bremen.
By telephone on 0421 2201 11310 or in person during the office hours of our secretariat.
Brief concerns can be discussed by telephone during the open telephone consultation hours (without an appointment). Longer consultations by e-mail are not possible. For more extensive questions, we recommend a personal consultation.
We advise on the topic of student financing outside of BAföG. Questions about BAföG can be answered by our Office for Educational Support.
This is where Student Housing can help.
We recommend that you bring important letters or documents relating to the subject of the consultation with you to the appointment.
We are based on the campus of the University of Bremen, but can also be contacted at other university locations . For further information, please contact us.
Only employees of the counselling center with whom there is direct contact (secretariat, counsellor) have knowledge of a visit. Counseling is also subject to confidentiality. The University of Bremen and the universities will not be informed, nor will the health insurance company.
In principle, the social counsellors advise on all topics closely related to student status. However, we do not provide individual advice on BAföG or applying for a place in a hall of residence. The BAföG and Housing departments are the right contacts for this.
We also do not provide legal advice. However, we can refer you to the right contact points.
